PROVO, Utah (AP) -- The state fire marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed a home under construction in Hobble Creek Canyon.

Springville firefighters responded to the canyon yesterday and found the home engulfed in flames. The uninhabited house was under construction and was about three weeks from completion.

The house was destroyed and was valued at about $1.7 million. The cause of the fire is unknown.

The fire did not threaten any nearby homes.
