Nishi Gupta Reporting Forget about the old saying, "If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb." The lion is definitely still with us. And we're seeing it all-- high winds all day today and tonight, thunderstorms too. We'll see rain and tomorrow we'll wake up to snow!

The wind has caused a number of problems throughout Northern Utah tonight, everything from scattered power outages to fallen tree limbs. Parts of I-80 in Tooele County are closed to high-profile vehicles as well.

There's wind up to forty miles an hour in Salt Lake City. While we were out covering the story, we saw tree limbs on the roads, garbage flying through the streets, carports losing their tops and that was just our experience.

Thabo Mzilikazi: "I weight 230 pounds and it's moving me. That's how bad the wind is."

Happy students were out on the town celebrating prom night. They kept hopping in for a carriage ride, but the horses didn't always share their excitement.

Burt Clark, Carriage Driver: Some things will move. We had a sign fall over, the horses will jump, they get a little nervous."

Women leaving the LDS general conference building took to the streets they tried taking cover at the nearby malls.

Nancy Mann: "We weren't prepared because when we got here this afternoon, it was warm. And then all of a sudden, the wind is kind of chilly."

In Murray, firefighters found something on Union Pacific railroad tracks that didn't belong.

Capt. Mike Dykman, Murray Fire Dept.: "With the high winds tonight, this awning blew off the business, flew over some buildings, trees about 30 feet in the air."

KSL colleague Thabo Mzilikazi was happy to find some money in his pocket, but that happiness was cut short as he saw the wind snatch it away.

Thabo Mzilikazi: "Like in the middle of the street and I was chasing it, lights were green and the cars were coming and I needed my ten dollar bill. I was chasing it."

He says he eventually caught up to it. Then he was quick to spend it before losing it again.
