CENTERVILLE — Three Farmington firefighters are recovering an accident during a training exercise.

It appears that a training vehicle rolled around 9 p.m. on Firebreak Road, on the border of Centerville and Farmington, South Davis Metro Fire Chief Jim Rampton said. All three of the men were in the cabin of the vehicle at the time.

No one else was riding in the vehicle and there were no additional injuries, Rampton said.

One of the firefighters was transported by medical helicopter, while two others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals. Rampton said their injuries varied, but that the one who was taken by air suffered head injuries.

He said the Farmington Fire Department was holding the training for the purpose of learning how to handle the vehicle, which is used in wild fires because it transports large amounts of water.
