TUCSON, Ariz. - The Utes gained another Pac-12 victory this week as they traveled to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats. Utah won 34-21. Many players played a part in the Ute win and here is a look at some of the top performers.

John White

John White had another huge game. White set the pace for the Utah offense. He continually picked up yards after initial contact, and kept drives alive for the Utes. His effective running game allowed the passing game to succeed. White also provided good protection for Jon Hays by coming up with big blocks. At one point White "de-cleated” a defensive linemen as he was coming in for the sack. White was a huge key for the Utes’ success. He finished the game with 27 carries for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Utah is undefeated when White rushes for more than 100 yards.

Norm Chow

Norm Chow called an aggressive game. Chow let Hays throw the ball a lot more than most people would have anticipated. Chow kept the Wildcats honest by calling so many pass plays. White had a big game because of Hays' success and Hays had a good game because of White's success. Chow drew up plays that worked perfectly for his young offense.

David Douglas, Arizona Wide Receiver

David Douglas led the way for the Wildcats. Douglas came down with two great touchdown catches. One of the catches was quite exceptional as Douglas stretched out and manged to get one foot down before going out of bounds. Douglas finished the game with 10 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Utah Special Teams

The Utes’ special teams set a dominating precedent early in the game. Arizona lined up for a field goal and tried to execute a fake, but the Utes' special teams rushed in and stopped the fourth down conversion. On the next Arizona drive Utah blocked a punt giving the Utes great field position that led to a field goal. The defensive side of the special teams was dominate, and provided the offense with several great opportunities.

Utah Defensive line

The Utah defensive line dominated the trenches. They put tremendous pressure on Arizona quarterback Nick Foles. Foles was sacked several times through out the game and when he was not sacked he was often hit. It was apparent that Foles was shaken and the defensive line deserves a lot of credit for that.
