(KSL News) -- A West Valley City man is the first in Utah to be charged with using a file sharing network to distribute child pornography.
The Utah Attorney General's Office charged Larry Buhler with five felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Peer-to-peer networks are typically used for movies and music, but authorities say it's becoming a common way to share child pornography.
Buhler admitted he had been trading child pornography for the past year. He is a convicted sex offender.
Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff spoke with KSL Newsradio about the case, and about law enforcement efforts to stop the distribution of child pornography. You can listen to that interview by clicking the link on the right.
