Randall Jeppesen, KSL NewsradioTwo men in Springville ended up in the hospital after they got into a fight. Someone started stabbing the others with what appears to be a screwdriver.
According to police, the victims were among three or four people involved in an argument near 200 South and 200 West early this morning.
The men had been drinking. When the driver was dropping off a couple of them off, they got into a fight. The driver jumped in his car and hit one of the men. Some people nearby ran for help.
Springville Police Lt. Dave Caron says, "Then they realized that the individual that had been hit by the car had also been stabbed several times."
Caron says the stab wounds look like they were from a screwdriver. A second victim was found sitting on a porch with a head injury.
So why were the men fighting? Caron says, "One person I know we talked to said one guy started singing rap music and was insulting this other guy and made him angry, and that is what started the fight. We don't know for sure."
Police are still looking for the driver of the car.
