(KSL News) A junior high school teacher goes on trial today.

Sam Sessions, of Syracuse, is charged with first-degree sodomy on a child. He's accused of sexually abusing a three-year-old girl sometime last year.

Sessions lived with the child's mother for a short time about a year ago. He says he's innocent.

Sessions taught school in South Ogden.
