(KSL News) A snow advisory is in effect until 9:00 this morning.

Icy conditions contributed to several wrecks in Davis County, and slide offs or accidents in several other areas.

KSL NewsRadio reports the roads got progressively worse northbound as motorists crossed the Davis County line. Particularly slushy roads were reported from Roy to Bountiful.

Heavy snow fell earlier this morning, but did not hit the morning commute.

For the second time in a week, a wild winter storm dumped on the Wasatch Front Sunday, making a mess of the roads. Thursday's storm led to 95 crashes in Salt Lake County. Sunday's storm led to 165 crashes.

Troopers shut down SR 201 eastbound near Redwood Road yesterday because of two separate crashes involving five cars. The ambulance struggled in traffic to get to the scene. One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Troopers say some motorists were driving with bald tires, and others were just driving too fast for the conditions.

Trooper David Brooks, Utah Highway Patrol: "We've been extremely busy. We've had to call troopers from off duty to come handle crashes."

In the mountains, the blizzard was more welcome. Brighton Ski Resort reports 10 inches of fresh powder.
