CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) -- A 59-year-old Utah man has been sentenced to two years in prison for trying to buy sex with an eight-year-old online.
Larry Merrill was sentenced Thursday in Fremont County District Court in Canon City.
Investigators said Merrill contacted a woman he thought was the mother of an eight-year-old and paid her two-thousand dollars to have sex.
When he arrived at the meeting place in Canon City he was arrested.
