Randall Jeppesen, KSL Newsradio One BYU fan is hoping to make a big difference at this year's opening football game. He's been leading a behind-the-scenes fan effort to get people to start wearing blue.
Tony Brown can't wait for Saturday's opening game, but unlike most other fans he's spent the entire off-season pushing for a "BYU Blue-out." "Don't wear white. Don't wear tan. Don't wear any other color," he said.
He gathered donations and put up a billboard on I-15 featuring Lavell Edwards encouraging people to wear blue.
He met with the football team and worked with the bookstore and inspired them. Then, out came the fully invested T-shirts.
He's not asking for much in return. He'd just like to see 35,000 to 40,000 fans wearing blue at the game.
Brown hopes by the end of the season most of the fans will catch on and actually wear blue to the games.
