SALT LAKE CITY -- Two women are recovering in the hospital after a motorcycle accident.
Unified police say the two were riding together on a motorcycle Monday night when a truck tried to turn left in front of them at 900 East and 4500 South.
They crashed into the truck. The motorcycle driver was thrown under the vehicle. The passenger hit the side of it.
Police say both women were wearing helmets and that may have saved their lives.
The women, both in their early 20s, were taken to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.
Police don't think drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
