MILLCREEK -- Unified Police and a SWAT team was called to a home near 1300 E. Winder Lane where a standoff occurred with an armed man.

The man was reported to be suicidal, and police said he had weapons.

Police didn't give many details about the man, other than to say he is 42 years old.

The home is owned by relatives of the man. They say he showed up very distraught, and because there are weapons in the home, police were dispatched to the scene.

Many homes along Winder Lane were evacuated for several blocks as a precaution, and they remained evacuated for several hours.

Along with SWAT officers, negotiators were involved, trying to get the man to come out peacefully.

The man refused to cooperate or leave the house, so SWAT teams entered and were able to bring him out after using a Taser.

The man did not have a hostage and no shots were fired.
