Keith McCord Reporting In a few more days Salt Lake will become the city that hosted the Winter Olympics not last time, but two times ago. Time flies!
As journalists, covering the Salt Lake games was a blast. There was something going on on every street corner, it seemed. And Len Randolph always seemed to find them during his weather live shots!
One day in Park City, a trash can band. A few days after the Apolo Ohno speed skating fall, Len tracked down some young ladies who came up with a dance.
Len Randolph: "Okay ladies, turn around and show them how we do the 'Oh No!'"
Complete with gotees, made from black tape!
Len was also educational. Ever wonder why people ring cowbells during ski competitions? Without them, it would be pretty quiet! But give 'em all a bell, and there's no way the athletes won't hear them!
Needless to say, when the games ended, it was really hard to get Len back into the studio!
