SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A University of Utah student is facing federal charges this morning after he allegedly hacked into a computer to change his grades.
F-B-I agents arrested 21-year-old You Li at his campus dorm on Friday. Li is a Chinese national studying computer science.
According to a federal indictment, Li is accused of using a software program to break into the math department's computer system in December 2004.
The indictment says Li is accused of reading e-mails, getting bank account numbers and other personal information belonging to a professor. He's also accused of trying to change at least one of his math grades from failing to passing.
The F-B-I says this is the second computer hacking case in Utah in the past week.
