Editor’s note: The only formal criminal charge filed from this case against Cleon Jones was possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, but a jury in 2007 determined that he was not guilty.
SANDY, Utah (AP) -- A car salesman accused of raping a customer at a Sandy dealership is now facing more charges.
Police say 34-year-old Cleon Jones was charged yesterday after police searched his apartment and found drugs and a loaded gun.
Officers say they found more than two-hundred grams of cocaine and a 45-caliber handgun that had been stolen from someone in Nevada.
Jones is charged with drug, theft and weapons violations, all second-degree felonies.
Last week, Jones allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint. Police say earlier that day she had been a customer at Stockton to Malone Honda dealership.
