LOS ANGELES -- I believe almost all of us have had doubters in our past who either tried to hold us back or told us we would not amount to anything. And for some of us who are too prideful to let it go, we bide our time and wait for that moment to prove them wrong. A teenage web-star has found her moment, but some are still left wondering what she's proved.

Rebecca Black, the artist behind the infamous web sensation " Friday" has released a new single. "My Moment" tells the story of the middle schooler and her quick rise to stardom and mockery. "Friday" was released earlier this year and immediately went viral. The video and the, "why can't I get this tune out my head" song, graced just about every computer across the country, and it wasn't because people loved the song. It's because it was so obnoxiously awful that you couldn't turn it off or just ignore it. It'd be like trying to ignore an MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice singing duet to "Sunrise Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof." You know you're not going to enjoy it, but you also know you're going to listen to it... a lot.

After the release of "Friday" Black was blasted online for the song, but it also made her a superstar. Now, she's fighting back lyrically.

Black received some help on her latest single according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Written by Brandon 'Blue' Hamilton, whose credits included a track on Justin Bieber's Never Say Never: The Remixes, and Quinton Tolbert and produced by Charlton Pettus (Tears for Fears, Hilary Duff), its accompanying video features footage of Black receiving an award at her junior high school and attending red carpet premieres to 'tell the story of her sudden rise to fame,' according to a statement. 'It's a fairytale story, but it happened in real life.'"

Tiffany Lee with Yahoo's music blog section, " Video Ga Ga" says "My Moment" isn't much of an effort to try and bandage her bruised ego and reputation, but at least it is an effort.

"Rebecca Black is really scraping the bottom of the fame barrel, but I can't help but give her props for trying. At least "My Moment" gets her point across--a good place to put things to bed and move on to high school (where things aren't much better). "

I believe Emma Jones with Lime Life.com had a great point when she wrote the following, "Black genuinely believes she has Hollywood staying power and, to be fair to the girl, if anyone can endure so much bad press, while maintaining a goofy smile on her face, then kudos to them."

What do you think? Does her new video offer her some redemption or will that only be possible if she appears on Tosh.O? Let us know on our comment boards and Facebook.
