(KSL News) A baby girl is recovering from second degree burns on her back and legs tonight caused when her mother spilled hot water on her.
The 7-month-old had been sick and the mother was trying to create a steam bath with eucalyptus to help. When she went to pick up the baby she spilled a Tupperware container full of water.
Police say it appears at this point to be an accident.
Still, they're referring the case to the Department of Child and Family Services as a precaution.
