Sandra Yi reportingA University bound TRAX train has collided with a vehicle in the area of 5th South and 13 East.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Wasatch Drive, just north of the Fort Douglas TRAX stop, just after 10 this morning.
A UTA spokesman says the driver of the vehicle was trying to make a right hand turn, went pasted the stop sign and entered the path of the train. The car and the train then collided.
The driver of the vehicle was visibly shaken. She told KSL that the car would not go into reverse. She was treated at the scene and released.
The crash caused a small delay in TRAX service.
There have been three crashes near the same intersection since TRAX began service in the area in 2003.
