(KSL News) An Ogden man charged with stabbing his girlfriend to death, dumping her body near Pineview Reservoir, then trying to cover it up, pleaded guilty.
Joseph Weatherspoon confessed he fatally stabbed Johanna McCann during a fight in April 2005. He admits he wrapped her body in plastic sheeting and dumped it down an embankment, then rented a carpet cleaner to get rid of the blood.
His defense attorney says Weatherspoon confessed because of the strength of the prosecutor's case and because he felt true remorse. Weatherspoon will be sentenced April 6th.
