(KSL News) -- A man standing trial for murder claims he was only acting in self defense.
Gene Garza is accused of killing Guillermo Padilla Jr. in a car to car shooting last May. Lawyers for Garza claim Padilla had been threatening their client, and just prior to the shooting had flashed a gun at Garza.
Garza also claims he only fired after seeing Padilla "point something at him."
Prosecutors claim no weapons were found in Padilla's car.
