Customer Christine Warr told us, "They just have great food. They've always had great food here, ever since they were just a little place down on Main Street."
The place is always busy, with the business crowd, high school students and members of the military all dining there.
By the way, we tried the fried pickles, which may sound weird but were delicious!
Ten different Facebook posters insisted we try Taggart's Grill, at 1105 N. Taggart Lane, in Morgan, Utah.
Customer Erica Wright said, "I love Taggart's for the atmosphere. The service is excellent and their food is very, very good."
Another customer, Marina Eldridge, added, "We love Taggart's because the food is fresh. And they have the best chicken artichoke soup."
Customers say even if you go no farther than the dessert counter, you won't be sorry.
Taggart's is so packed on the weekends that some diners told us they really didn't want us to spread the word.
The Great Escape
These eating establishments are just part of KSL 5 News Today's month-long tour of the state, called "The Great Escape." Other highlights from northwestern Utah include:
- Outdoor artwork, recreation highlight NW Utah
We visited a place so flat you can see the earth's curvature, stopped by a popular reservoir, and saw some famous outdoor artwork. - Tooele County: Miller Sportspark, scuba diving with sharks
Many spectators don't realize that they can join in on the action at the Miller Motorsports Park. Also, we found a place you can pet the sharks. - Railroad history reenacted at Golden Spike
The Golden Spike National Historic Site is a great place for history buffs or anyone who loves trains. - Logan: Arts capital of northwestern Utah
You may not think of Logan as an arts capital, but people come from all over the world to see opera and theater there.
