SALT LAKE CITY -- The Hogle Zoo is taking visitors back a couple hundred million years this summer for its new exhibit, "Zoorassic Park."
Thirteen robotic replicas of well-known dinosaurs have been placed throughout the zoo that roar, move, and even spit.
Megalosaurus
Kentrosaurus
Allosaurus
Parasaurolophus
Coelophysis
Suchmimus
Brachiosaurus
Styracosaurus and baby
Dilophosaurus and baby
"You can come to the zoo, actually see dinosaurs in habitats somewhat like they would have been living right here in Utah 150 million years ago," said Mark Loewen, a research associate with the Utah Museum of Natural History.
The UMNH partnered with Hogle Zoo in order to bring the exhibit to fruition.
"It's really great to actually see brachiosaurus come to life," said Loewen.
The exhibit also includes a paleontologist dig site for kids to play in, as well as "Dinosaur Tales," where visitors can get to know more about actual Utah paleontologists.
The exhibit runs through Aug 21, and is included in the regular cost of both admission at the zoo and zoo membership.
