(KSL News) -- Salt Lake Police are investigating an auto pedestrian crash in the Avenues.
Police say an 89-year old man was crossing the street at First avenue and E street when he was hit by a van. Witnesses say the man was in a crosswalk when he was struck.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Officers are now questioning the 18-year old driver at the scene to determine what happened.
