(KSL News) -- It's one of Utah's most popular events, the Utah International Auto Expo is underway.
It's open to the public and thousands of people are expected to attend. It is a non-selling show, so it gives you a chance to kick the tires and sit in drivers seat of as many cars as you want--all under the same roof at the South Towne Expo Center.
Besides vintage and concept cars, all 2006 models are on display. Car dealers say this show does result in a spike in interest with prospective car buyers.
Jeff Wetzel, Pres. UADA: "We see traffic into our dealerships increase as this kind of gets people thinking about a new vehicle purchase. And traditionally the spring market increases and is a good time for us, and so it does peak interest..."
The auto expo runs through Monday night.
