(KSL News) -- Midvale police are asking for help in identifying a man beaten and left for dead last week.

We have obtained a picture of the man, police hope someone will recognize him, but we must warn you, the picture isn't easy to look at.

Police Hope for Help, Release Photo of Beating Victim

The man was found on Friday, unconcious and badly beaten near 72nd South and Ninth east. Police say he is five feet eight, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a maroon checked shirt, gray t-shirt and jeans when he was found.

If you know who the man is, Midvale police would appreciate a call.
