Amanda Butterfield ReportingPolice from several different agencies were led on a high speed chase tonight for a man witnesses say was high on drugs, stabbing people. It all started over money and a car.

The suspect is in custody; police caught him after he crashed the truck he was driving, trying to get away. It ended with a cluster of cars crunched after the driver of the white truck, the man police were after, lost control on the slick roads.

It all started when Jeff Giles says he approached the suspect, because he owed him something.

Jeff Giles: "I just come over to get my truck and my money."

But the man, who Giles says was high on drugs, wouldn't pay up yet.

Jeff Giles: "He's very strung out on meth, and felt cornered, defense so he starts stabbing people."

Giles friend was stabbed in the arm and another man in the stomach. Police were called and the suspect took off running. For the next ten minutes the suspect tried to get away from police, eventually crashing, but he didn't give up easily.

Steve Angell, West Valley Police Dept.: "The driver fled, he ran north and ended on south of Wheeler Farm where officers were able to apprehend him."

There was a woman passenger in the truck police are questioning, and they're investigating the stabbings. One of the men who was stabbed should be okay, the other is in critical condition.
