(KSL News) Two robbers attacked a woman as she returned home from work late last night.
The woman's job requires her to carry a large amount of cash, and investigators think the suspects knew that. They told the woman they had a gun, stole her money, then took off in a car.
The woman chased them and the suspects hit her with their car as they got away.
That car, by the way, belonged to one of the suspect's friends, and she had no idea they'd "borrowed" it.
The victim had minor injuries and will be okay.
About 15 minutes later, a deputy spotted the car and caught the suspects. Jamie Anderson and Michael Ermer confessed and were arrested. Both had previous run- ins with the law.
Authorities say they got away with a large amount of cash but that has nothing to do with the charge.
Lt. Chris Bertram, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "Any type of property that's taken from a person by means of force is a robbery. So whether it's a dollar or several thousand dollars, it doesn't matter."
