(KSL News) Today Real Salt Lake will review a wish list detailing everything Sandy City wants in exchange for a soccer stadium.
In order for Real to receive $35 million in county hotel taxes, the state and city want the team to:
- Buy 29 acres of land, sell it to Sandy and then lease it from the city,
- Construct 1,000 on-site parking stalls, with more to be added,
- Make players and coaches available, free of charge, for community events to promote soccer,
- And stay in the state for 25 years or pay the money back. Sandy will vote on the development agreement next Tuesday.
