(KSL News) Police in Weber County need the public's help finding a man accused of trying to kill his girlfriend.
They say early this morning Rogelio "Antonio" Avila got into a heated argument with the woman. She says he grabbed her neck and tried to strangle her.
Police say she somehow broke free, tried to run from the apartment, but Avila grabbed a gun and shot her in the ankle.
Police say he held her for hours. When he left, she fled. Avila is considered armed and dangerous. Police say he may be driving a white 1989 four-door Cadillac with Utah plate 241 NYS.
