(KSL News) -- Rescue teams had to bail out three California snowboarders at the Snowbird Ski Resort.
Snowbird sent search teams looking for the teenagers when parents said they didn't return from snowboarding. Officials say the boarders ducked a boundary rope and became stranded in a closed area.
Laura Schaffer, Snowbird Ski Resort: "There are repercussions for ducking rope lines. It is an illegal action, but we'll see what comes out of it."
The snowboarders were wet and cold, but otherwise okay.
