Old school film negatives. Most of us still have them. (Especially baby boomers.) What to do? What to do? Instead of just leaving them to rot, scan ‘em for conversion into digital files; works with old moldy slides too. Enter the iConvert. For the sake of preserving your biographical picture archive and other sentimental reasons, the iConvert is a decent gadget to have. It cuts right down the middle of cheap and pricey, but it’s not that expensive. It’s also super-easy to use.Operation is dead simple: As the pic above shows, just slide the negatives into the scanner and then press the OK/SCAN button. The photographs are then re-captured in 1800 dpi resolution, viewed on the 2.4″ LCD screen, and can then be saved on a computer. iConverter also gets extra neat points for its stark simplicity, detecting the files to be converted without the user having to fiddle with extra controls. It’s all slide and click, slide and click, slide and click. The iConvert is currently retailing for $100 at Brookstone.Via DviceThis is a post from Geeky Gadgets, who bring you the latest Gadgets and Technology News.iConvert Scanner Does Exactly That, Convert Old Film (C) 2010 Geeky Gadgets Read More ...
