(KSL News) Provo police want the public's help in finding a hit-and-run driver.

The accident happened at 900 East and State St., just after midnight Sunday.

Police say a 4-door SUV with tinted windows hit a pedestrian crossing the street in a crosswalk. The SUV probably has front-end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at the 801-852-6256.
