SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah post offices are getting ready for the busiest mailing day of the year on Monday.

Post offices expect more than two (M)million cards and packages to be mailed on Monday, December 19th. In an attempt to make the day run smoother, post offices will be fully staffed. Postal managers will also be on hand to answer questions and help customers get their packages ready for mailing.

The Salt Lake Main post office, located at 1760 West 2100 South, plans to have several holiday events throughout the day, including a visit from Santa and holiday performances by school choirs.

Meanwhile, post offices in Ogden, Provo and West Valley City are extending their hours tomorrow in an attempt to reduce the number of customers on Monday.

Post offices in Sandy, West Jordan, Murray and Salt Lake City's Foothill post office have also recently extended their hours.
