(KSL News) Representative Chris Cannon wants to reduce the restrictions on oil shale development in Utah.
He says Utah, Colorado and Wyoming have roughly two trillion barrels of recoverable oil. That's one to two times the total world crude oil reserves and triple the amount of oil reserves in Saudi Arabia.
Cannon says that's enough to meet current US demand for the next 200 years or more.
