(KSL News) For most people, holidays are a happy time. But this season, SWAT teams are busy helping people who want to take their own lives.

Utah County officials navigated through three standoffs in the last three weeks. Each suspect was barricaded inside a house and threatening suicide.

Busy Season for SWAT Teams

One man did kill himself, and shot and killed his brother.

SWAT leaders say every year, they get extra calls during Christmas-time. Their theory-- people get depressed during the holidays.
