SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A West Valley man has been charged with trying to kill another man earlier this year in a Salt Lake City park.
Court documents say 44-year-old Johnny Eugene Howard allegedly approached a man sitting in Pioneer Park back in September. Howard asked the man if he remembered him and when the man replied "no," Howard pulled out a gun and shot him.
Howard allegedly said he shot the man three times because of an incident that happened in New Orleans in 2004.
