Andrew Adams, KSL NewsradioMitt Romney is back on the defensive over his faith. He's being attacked in an e-mail from a staffer with a fellow republican's campaign
The staffer works for GOP Governor Sam Brownback. She sent the e-mail asking people if statements were inaccurate, such as "those who claim that LDS is a Christian denomination, don't know Mormon or Christian theology."
Brownback has since apologized. He said, "This doesn't belong in a political discussion,"
ABC's George Stephanopoulos said, "With voter, the bottom line, I think is, they want a candidate who believes in God, but they also want to be assured that whoever gets that office doesn't impose their beliefs on the rest of the country."
Stephanopoulos says Romney so far has been able to roll with the punches.
A Romney spokesman says the apology from Brownback was as expected.
