MILLCREEK -- Police are searching for two males who robbed a Zion's Bank Thursday morning.
The two men entered the Zion's Bank at 4675 S. Highland Drive just after 10 a.m., Unified Police Lt. Don Hutson said. One man remained in the lobby and ordered customers and employees to the ground. He indicated that he had a gun, but never brandished a weapon, Hutson said.
In the meantime, the other man jumped behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money. Hutson said the two men then fled north through a parking lot and jumped a fence leading to a nearby apartment complex.
Although police arrived less than a minute after the call came in, Hutson said they were unable to locate the two men at the apartment complex.
"It is unknown if they had a vehicle waiting at the apartment that they got into and left or if they lived in the apartment complex," Hutson said.
Witnesses said that while they could not see the men's faces, they are "brown-skinned," leading police to believe they are either Polynesian or African-American. The men were wearing masks at the time, so no further identifying information is available at this time.
