(KSL News) -- Despite the brief interruption by Texas woman, the LDS Church’s annual Christmas Devotional went on as planned.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square provided traditional Christmas music. The three members of the Church's first presidency talked of the blessings of giving.
President Gordon B. Hinckley: “At this Christmas Season, may God bless us all with love, respect and honor. With gratitude, charity and worship of the Lord who came to Earth and redeemed us from our sins. Joy to the world, the Lord has surely come. A very merry Christmas to each of you.”
Church members were asked to continue to be charitable this season. They were thanked for their help with natural disasters throughout the year.
