(KSL News) A Utah pilot helps kids know the sky is the limit, literally.
Glen Olsen is a longtime member of Salt Lake's Experimental Aircraft Association, and has participated in its Young Eagle program. Pilots -- at their own cost -- give kids airplane rides.
Glen has flown nearly 500 kids in his plane, hoping to interest them in careers in aviation. And for that, we gave him a High 5.
Olsen was nominated by his friend, Clay Gorton. Gorton told us, "[He] has done more for Homebuilt Aircraft, part of General Aviation, than anyone else in the Salt Lake Valley."
Olsen said, "For most of the kids it's been a wonderful experience. So far we've taken up 1.3 million people with E.A.A."
Glen Olsen got a KSL goodie bag and some gift certificates to Dairy Queen.
