SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A former drama high school teacher accused of possessing child pornography will soon be sentenced.

Yesterday, Michael Champlin Perry pleaded guilty to one count of possessing at least 150 images of child porn.

Perry taught drama at Pleasant Grove High school between 1987 and 1988 and later at Spanish Fork High School. More recently, he's known for publishing plays and writing songs.

Perry is accused of purchasing a 30-day membership in June 2003 to a Web site where he downloaded images of child pornography.

U-S Attorney spokeswoman Melodie Rydalch says her office is conducting an investigation to show the number of picture downloaded was closer to six-hundred images, rather than 150. Rydalch says the amount of images will have an impact on sentencing.

Perry's sentencing is scheduled April third.
