(KSL News) -- A bizarre series of events led to a fire at a duplex in South Jordan today.

A truck delivering sheet rock to a construction site accidentally hit a power line, showering sparks onto the building below. A gas main inside the duplex was leaking and a water line burst.

Fire crews say the fires didn't cause a whole lot of damage, but the electricity that shot through the duplex did.

Deputy Chief Chris Evans, South Jordan Fire Dept.: "We have one garage door that fused shut, some damage to the eaves, damage to the light sockets, and damage to the wiring inside the homes."

Fire investigators say the accident caused about 15- thousand dollars damage.
