ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah (AP) -- Zion National Park is concluding its nighttime work on the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway.
The nighttime construction will come to an end on Friday.
Work on the road had been occurring at night since June because businesses in Kane County had raised concerns that daytime road work would keep customers away.
Bicycles, which have been prohibited during the construction, are now allowed to travel on the road. Restricted hours for large vehicles crossing the park through the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel remain in place year-round.
