PROVO, Utah (AP) -- The Utah National Guard has issued 58 awards to Utah County businesses for their support.

Those businesses have guaranteed that soldiers will have a job when they return from duty.

Employers honored with a Patriot Award receive a Department of Defense certificate of appreciation and a patriot lapel pin.

The Daily Herald of Provo reports that Utah National Guard urges soldiers to nominate their employers for the Patriot awards. Soldiers may go online to nominate their boss for their help and cooperation or employers can be nominated when they return from deployment and are going through the re-entry process.
