(KSL News) -- Utah lawmakers will again consider a ban on smoking in bars and private clubs this session.
This new version of the ban has unanimous support from the interim Health and Human services committee. The bill is even more restrictive than a proposal that failed last session, which would have banned smoking in almost every private business.
Lawmakers were concerned about balancing the right of non-smokers to be free from second hand smoke and the rights of private business owners.
