SALT LAKE CITY -- It's not often you see men cry, but Saturday some of them had good reason to.

Tears, heavy breathing, a big look of distress and food smeared all over the face; it can only mean one thing: a spicy food-eating contest.

At Olympus Hills Shopping Center Saturday, three restaurants pulled out all the stops for the Big Hot Raw Food Challenge.

In one round, the contestants chowed on chicken wings covered in the Wing Coops' deadly Eleven Sauce. The sauce is marked on the menu by a skull and cross bones.

Winner Brock Mayfield talked with our photographer after the event.

"They are super hot," Mayfield said.

"Are your eyes watering, nose running?" KSL photographer Mike Sadowski asked.

"Yeah. My whole body hurts," Mayfield replied.

When Sadowski asked Mayfield why he entered the contest, Mayfield said a friend bet him $100 to do it. He says it was not worth it.
