SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah residents have a new online tool to help them find where flu vaccines are available this flu season.

The Flu Vaccine Locator was developed by the Utah Department of Health to provide statewide information about vaccine clinics.

Utahns can find it online at the Utah Immunization Program Web site at www.immunize-utah.org. Residents then click on the Flu Vaccine Locator link.

Information is then accessed by selecting the county you live in and choosing the dates you wish to purchase or receive the vaccine.

The vaccine is now available to the general public regardless of risk status. However, health officials say because of distribution timing, vaccine may be limited for brief periods of time.

The department also has an online influenza page with updates on flu-related statistics, vaccine recommendations and disease facts.

It can be found at http://health.utah.gov/epi/diseases/flu/
