(KSL News) A semi-trailer caught fire overnight, frying a truckload of eggs.
The semi was carrying over 1 million eggs as it was coming down a mountain on I-80. It's brakes overheated, catching the truck on fire and shutting down a portion of westbound I-80 near 700 East.
"The trailer is completely consumed," authorities said. "The load was all contaminated and part of the trailer."
The driver wasn't hurt in the fire. Damages could be as much as $300,000.
