(KSL News) -- Governor Jon Huntsman joined a local church in celebrating diversity today.
Huntsman spoke about the importance of multiculturalism at the New Pilgrim Baptist Church, which has members from about 19 different nations.

While Utah is not known for its cultural diversity, Huntsman and members of the church say that is changing rapidly.
Achieng Reggy, New Pilgrim Baptist Church: "The more congregations and the more communities we have that are open to diversity open to change the better it will be and the more people we will attract of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds."
Church members credit their pastor with promoting cultural diversity in the congregation.
