(KSL News) -- Two hundred yards in Salt Lake were cleaned up and prepped for winter today for the annual "Fall Leaf Haul".
More than 800 volunteers from all over the valley showed up with rakes, ready to do a little yard work for the elderly.
Many of these volunteers are students who help out every year and love doing it.
Olivia Akerley, Community Service Council Club, Roland Hall St. Marks: "It's just so much fun, just to help out a lot and help other people get involved in it. And we really need to help out because some people just aren't as fortunate."
The amount of people volunteering increases around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but volunteers are needed year round.
